Skype is a peer to peer Internet telephony network (IP telephony)
Skype works in the same way as the traditional telephone but with additional capabilities. This program lets you make calls to other Skype users for free and to call landlines using a credit voucher. It also offers videoconferencing and the option to chat to contacts contained in your list of friends via instantaneous text messages. Call logs and both quick and complete search options are available to easily find people to talk to in the relevant language, in addition to an option to change status (available, invisible, busy, etc.). This new version has an easier personal user interface and is more versatile.
